Then two talks especially appropriate for the mystery writer: "Jane Austen and the Master Spy" about William Wickham, the man who ran the Scarlet Pimpernel and surely served as the model for Jane austen's George Wickham; followed by "Jane Austen and Crime", an analysis of criminal acts that occur in Jane Austen's very proper novels.

My last pass through the emporium gave me a chance for a litte Christmas shopping at VISINDI Beauty for luxury, handmade soaps by Evie Cotton who won a Dragon's Den-type competition to start her own high end business.
The Author Booksigning followed. I always love meeting and talking to readers!
And the perfect conclusion to the day--banquet, promenade and Regency ball with my own Mr. Darcy!
