Meet Idaho Author Sherry Briscoe
By Donna Fletcher Crow ~ March 31, 2014
Well, life is busy, but I'd been a member of the Idaho Writers' Guild (http://idahowritersguild.com/) for a whole year and hadn't been to a meeting yet. Every month I would recieve notice of the time and place— always a luncheon at a local restaurant— and I would put it on my calendar. And then not get there.
Finally it was time to renew my membership for another year. In other words, fish or cut bait. I decided to fish and was delighted with the professional approach to writing, the excellent speakers and the delightful people I met. So I renewed and went back the next month.
And there, one of the writers I was especially pleased to meet up with was Sherry Briscoe, so I invited Sherry to visit us on "Deeds of Darkness; Deeds of Light". Welcome, Sherry.

Thank you again for visiting us, Sherry. Now I wish I'd asked you about your Army career, too. I have a son in the Army Reserve and one in the Air Force Reserve and a grandson in the Army serving in Afghanistan.

What fun, getting to guest blog on your website, Donna, is like being on the TONIGHT SHOW!
I joined the Army because, at the time, they were having guarantees of station, and I wanted to go to Europe. So I signed the papers and off I went. It was like stepping into a fairy tale book of castles and kings!

Fantastic, Sherry! Where were you posted? Sounds like Germany.
-Donna, April 2, 2014
I was stationed in Nuernburg Germany. A beautiful city in the state of Bavaria, which is southern Germany, not far from Munich.
-SherryBriscoe, April 3, 2014
Lovely, Sherry. I traveled through Germany on a study tour many, many years ago, but we didn't get to Nuermburg. I'll be looking for a story set in Germany from you.

Fascinating interview! I edited some of the stories (they're great fun) and wondered where Sherry found her inspiration.
Thanks for bringing Sherry to us, Donna. I hope we'll meet up one of these days at IWG or Partners in Crime!
